We’re thrilled to announce the launch of RETpositive, a patient driven coalition formed to raise awareness and advance medical research in the field of RET positive cancer. We are also fundraising to address the urgent need to get more RET-targeted therapies into the drug pipeline for cancers driven by a RET gene mutation or alteration.
Our fundraising campaign includes a matching donation of up to $100,000 made possible by a generous gift from the Hamoui Foundation.
Cancers harboring RET gene alterations occur most commonly in lung cancer and thyroid cancer, and generally tend to be diagnosed in people who are both younger and never-smokers.
Our goal is to improve both quality of life and life expectancy of over 15,000 patients with RET-altered cancers diagnosed annually in the U.S. and tens of thousands more worldwide.
